Juan Pla has been a health and fitness professional for over 25 years. He is a certified personal trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and holds a certification in sports and exercise nutrition as a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach. Juan has coached and consulted a wide variety of clientele ranging from the elderly to young athletes. His experience includes working on cases obesity and weight loss, cardiovascular and pulmonary disease, injury prehabilitation and recovery, lifestyle coaching, and youth fitness. Juan has also coached a number of physique athletes in their preparation for local and national competitions, as well as endurance athletes in proper nutritional guidance for their respective sports. His work also involves coordinating with Park Ridge and Woodcliff Lake in their annual health and fitness challenge held in the spring. Juan himself has competed in bodybuilding as well as a number of running events, including the 2008 New York City Marathon. His primary focus when working with our members and clients is establishing both clear and precise behavior and outcome goals which provide the blueprint for every individual need towards a healthier lifestyle.

PHILOSOPHIES:
“My only goal as a fitness professional is to have my clients achieve a state of ‘after’ in a fitness industry full of ‘before.’ The way to achieve this is to learn and understand that the most important factor in any successful transformation story is individual consistency. I have yet to see a training philosophy that does not work…it is the lack of proper application and commitment which deters an individual from success.”
